Existing Sewage System Inspections

Existing sewage systems may require inspections/site evaluations for a number of reasons, including:

 

  • To obtain a Child or Adult Care Facility License
  • To obtain an MDARD Food License
  • Real estate transactions/Home Loan Evaluation
  • Planned increases in flow to an existing system due to building remodel or addition

During the inspection of an existing sewage system a Sanitarian will assess the capacity of the existing system and determine compliance with the Upper Peninsula Environmental Health Code.

During your scheduled inspection time, you must have a licensed septage hauler onsite to pump the septic tank.
